Risk platforms (e.g., Axio), vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable), and integrated vendors (e.g., Fortinet) could also absorb this functionality, threatening Frenos as a standalone product.

Future Viability:
Frenos’ sustainability depends on its ability to expand its digital twin with more complex data sources (e.g., endpoint protection, microsegmentation, remote access) and become an indispensable integration hub—a strategy likened to OSIsoft PI’s dominance in the ICS historian market.
