A new documentary series titled Most Wanted: Teen Hacker is set to premiere on HBO Max next month, featuring interviews with KrebsOnSecurity’s Brian Krebs. The four-part series chronicles the alarming cybercrime career of Julius “Zeekill” Kivimäki, a Finnish hacker who was involved in swatting incidents, massive DDoS attacks against major gaming platforms, and even a bomb threat that grounded a plane. His crimes escalated further when he extorted thousands of patients by threatening to leak sensitive psychotherapy notes, leading to a conviction but initially only a suspended sentence due to his age.

After going on the run, Kivimäki was eventually arrested in France, and in April 2024 he received a prison sentence exceeding six years for the extortion of therapy patients. Directed by Finnish producers Sami Kieski and co-written by Joni Soila, the documentary will consist of four 43-minute episodes, releasing weekly on Fridays throughout September across multiple regions, including Europe, the U.S., Latin America, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
