TechMatrix adopts Tenable One as cyber incidents reshape risk thinking among system integrators

TechMatrix Corporation (a Japanese provider of information infrastructure and application services) has selected Tenable One to strengthen its cybersecurity program by getting broader visibility across its attack surface and improving how it stays ahead of emerging risks. The article says the decision was influenced by a rise in cyber incidents affecting system integrators, highlighting that modern risk spreads through supply chains and can’t be handled by perimeter defenses alone. TechMatrix previously leaned on perimeter controls and occasional penetration tests, but as vulnerability volumes grew, manual CVSS-based prioritization became too slow and unclear for deciding what to fix first. The company also discovered identity blind spots from years of accumulated accounts in Active Directory, including weak passwords and overly permissive access that could enable privilege escalation.

After deploying Tenable One, TechMatrix reports faster and clearer prioritization using Tenable’s Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR) and built-in triage guidance, which helps them focus remediation on what’s most likely to matter. The platform also improved visibility in areas that were previously hard to assess—such as vulnerabilities in legacy systems—and made it easier to inventory AD accounts and quickly flag weak passwords or excessive permissions as they appear. TechMatrix also highlights the value of adding identity context (who has what permissions) to focus remediation, and notes that Japanese-language guidance helps speed up investigations and operational response.
