UFP Technologies discloses cyberattack disrupting billing systems and exposing company data

The article says UFP Technologies, a U.S. medical device manufacturer, disclosed a significant cyberattack that was detected around February 14, 2026. According to the company’s SEC filing, attackers gained unauthorized access to parts of its IT environment, disrupted business functions such as billing and delivery label generation, and appear to have stolen or destroyed some company data. Even so, UFP said its contingency plans and backups helped keep core operations running, and it believes the intruder has now been removed from its systems.

The piece also says the full scope is still under investigation, including whether any personal or sensitive information was among the affected files. Industrial Cyber notes the incident looks consistent with ransomware or wiper-style activity, although no threat group has publicly claimed it. UFP currently says it does not expect a material impact on its financial condition, and it expects a significant portion of the investigation and recovery costs to be covered by insurance.
